Materials Fioccardi (Torino, Italy) supplies us with our recycled/bonded leather materials.
Newman Paperboard supplies our 40pt and 80pt chipboard. Their products are made from a variety of recycled paper products, and they do not utilize chemicals in their paper-making process.
Gruppo Mastrotto provides us with our Simply Leather raw materials. Our products are crafted using only the finest genuine leather from Tuscany, Italy.
Neenah Paper is our main supplier of the covering materials. When we can't get our materials from Neenah, Ecological Fibers is our alternative supplier.
While chameleon focuses on domestic manufacturing, we import about 10% of our line (Essential and Brites Journals) from Jiaxing Seagull Paper Products, Ltd. (Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, China)– our partner in China. The factory has passed Social Audits by Bureau Veritas.
Kelly Spicers & GPA Paper supplies our regular and recycled paper for all our journals.
We partner with Recology South Valley in Gilroy, CA, to recycle all our post-production waste. Recology seeks to eliminate waste by creating and discovering sustainable resource recovery practices!
To minimize our carbon footprint, we source our corrugated boards locally in Houston, TX, and the SF Bay Area. They contain at least 30% recycled fibers and are 100% recyclable.
Our BLACK foam (Polyethylene foam 1.7#) is made from 90% waste; it can be recycled as plastic #4. Our WHITE foam (Polyethylene foam 1.7#) can be recycled as plastic #4. We send all our foam production scraps back to the manufacturer for immediate recycling.
All our boards and finishes have recycled content. Our covering materials are all FSC-Certified and 100% plastic free.
We are transitioning our silk-screen printing to 100% solvent-free, low VOC inks.
Polyethylene (PE) closed cells foam. Made from 100% post-industrial waste. Recyclable.
We partner with Waste Management in Houston, TX, to recycle all our post-production waste.
